How to activate a Steam key
Redeeming a key on Steam takes under a minute. A code can only be used once and the game stays tied to the account that redeemed it, so check the region before you redeem.
What a key region means
Region is the number one reason a key fails. It decides which countries can redeem the code, and that is set by the game publisher, not by the shop. A Global key works anywhere. Every other region only works inside the area it names.
Is it safe to buy cheap game keys?
It depends on where the code came from. Digital keys are a legitimate market: studios sell in bulk, distributors resell, and prices drop with region and old promotions. The risk is not the low price, it is the source.
